Memphis Botanic Garden - Encore Pavilion
A flexible space within the larger Live Garden at the Memphis Botanic Garden used for meetings and celebrations. The building form and siting are designed to defer to the surrounding landscape: the building is tucked into the edge of an existing woodland area, creating a courtyard garden along the length of the building. An entrance breezeway connects a volume with catering kitchen and restrooms to another volume containing the large event space. The mostly solid volume is glazed at one end, framing a view of the beautiful woodland and wetland landscape.
