Senior Associate Kayce Williford, AIA has been with the firm for over 14 years. Pushing the field of architecture towards greater cultural and community engagement, her passion for design excellence resides in a broad range of project types and scales. A keen observer of urban resiliency, Kayce seeks lessons that contemporary architecture can take from the simple ornamentation and detail in historic architecture as a model for practical sustainability - if people love it, they will take care of it. Evidence of this can be seen in our city’s well-preserved and maintained historic neighborhoods and buildings, including her own 1914 four-square home fondly call “Mister Red”.
Kayce served as a professional design member of the Urban Art Commission’s selection committee for Army/Navy Parks and has presented throughout the South on phenomenology and designing for net-zero. Kayce is a graduate of Mississippi State University, working at Lake|Flato Architects in San Antonio, Texas before joining archimania. Kayce is an alumna of the AIA Memphis Emerging Professional Leadership Program, a recipient of the Francis Mah Travel Fellowship, and has been honored with the AIA Henry Adams Medal.
Kayce currently serves on the Mississippi State University School of Architecture (S/ARC) Advisory Board. If she is not geocaching with her girls, you can find her channeling her creative talents as a chef and writer. Kayce’s keen, fluid design eye brings beautiful things to life in and out of the office.
