The project includes a total of six condos, located above ground floor retail space in an emergent downtown Jonesboro, Arkansas. The idea was to provide the ground floor retail space with maximum transparency to allow for unobstructed views both in and out of the spaces. The metal clad second story volume floats above the first floor band of glass and is articulated with a wooden ribbon that moves in and out to create individual balconies, which have a view overlooking Main Street. These wooden ribbons are punctured with steel portal windows that give an identity to each of the three street front units thereby creating a rhythm to the facade.
