The existing service-drive canopy at the Mercedes Benz dealership needed to be replaced with a new drive-in service enclosure. Improvements were also made to existing interior spaces, including service reception, parts boutique, customer lounge, and the café. High speed doors were added to the previously open service lanes, allowing the customers to meet with service advisors more quickly, thereby speeding up the process of bringing a car in. The service lanes are separated from service advisor offices by the pedestrian circulation zone, marked by aluminum floor grating and a linear clerestory above. The sunlight penetrating the clerestory stands in stark contrast to the black ceiling of the service lanes, therein further defining the separation of the drive lanes and offices. With the new enclosure, Mercedes is able to provide a space that is sleek and modern, while offering clients a higher quality and more comfortable experience.
