Little Rock House
This residence is sited on a steeply sloped lot in a traditional 1980’s neighborhood in northern Little Rock. The client wanted the design to meet the following criteria: simple, modern, low-maintenance, adaptable and private. Carved out of the southern street frontage is a courtyard and swimming pool, allowing for the resident’s privacy. Full-height windows allow abundant natural light and views out to the courtyard and beyond. Running the length of the house, an entry porch provides for sun and rain protection, while simultaneously serving as a poolside patio. The main floor opens to the walled courtyard, allowing for an open, yet private living space. The scale of the space is perfect for anything from a family night in to a large social gathering.
