A 19-unit condo development located on Madison Avenue near Memphis’ bustling Medical Center, designed with the intention of being affordable condos for first-time homebuyers. The building utilizes unusual materials and a modern aesthetic. Black polished block serves as the base at the street level, while white corrugated metal is stretched over the upper two floors, giving the appearance of a white floating volume. A unique two-story unit is cantilevered out toward the street to break the regular grid of openings and to announce entry into the condo lobby. Solar shades project on the street elevation to cut down on the harsh south and western sun.
