Shelby Farms Park
We provided support to the competition winning proposal for the Master Plan of Shelby Farms, the largest urban park in the United States.
The master plan called for grand gestures in the seven square-mile park located in Memphis, Tennessee. It called for the planting of one million new trees, as well as enlarging the existing lake three times its current size in order to create a new centerpiece and add a wide range of non-motorized water sport activities to the park. We were tasked with designing structures that support the aquatic and non-aquatic activities associated with the lake.
Our Boat House and Lake Pavilion provide destination/activity points around the newly enlarged Patriot Lake.
